Onitsuka's new design concept was to create a reborn Delegation style for 2020 Tokyo games by taking some design cues from the original iteration from the last Tokyo games in 1964. One of the new components in the new style was the FLYTEFOAM™ Propel midsole and rubber sponge outsole. This combination delivers increased bounce and shock absorption.
